Meet Clinical Director Desir

has been practicing medicine for over 29 years. His diverse  experience includes Obstetrics and Gynecology for 8 years, Occupational Medicine for 3 years,  Emergency Medicine for 3 years, and Internal Medicine and Family Practice for 19 years. His intense commitment  is reflected in his passion to provide quality care to his patients,  understanding healthcare is wholistic, meaning care of the body through science, mind, and wellness.  

 He was born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts from immigrant parents, who derived from Haiti,  that raised him with a strong belief that “Education is the key that unlocks the door to success.” This  led him to continue his education at Rutgers University and Robert Wood Johnson Medical  School/UMDNJ-School of Allied Sciences. He is currently continuing to strengthen his medical training  at Butler University’s Doctor of Medical Science Program (DMS-st). After completing his initial medical  studies, his medical career began at the Detroit Medical Center (DMC) in 1995. 

 While at the DMC, his  exceptional knowledge was recognized and he was given the opportunity to lecture at both, Wayne  State University and University of Detroit Mercy School of Allied Sciences, while also, precepting  rotating students through the health center and primary care offices. Those experiences enabled him to become a very astute clinician who enjoys educating his patients about body and wellness as a  whole entity.
